it is easy to put dog into, My pup loves hers I only beef is the chest strap does not go across my chest it goes across my neck so if you have a small frame then it may fit you. If the backpack is riding high it goes across my neck. I lower the pack and it still goes across my neck so I do not use it.. but I wish I had the waist belt, but I will wait for pup to stop growing then decide to buy one bigger, my pack is a medium in size..her helmet does not stay in place either.. I give 4 stars
